2 Corinthians 7:11
“Just see what this godly sorrow produced in you! Such earnestness, such concern to clear yourselves, such indignation, such alarm, such longing to see me, such zeal, and such a readiness to punish wrong. You showed that you have done everything necessary to make things right.”
Godly sorrow produces so much fruit in our lives if we will let it! The Bible isn’t about success or failure, but growth! We can grow, even through our bad decisions. This group of believers allowed their leader’s strong words to bring conviction which led to growth. They knew they needed to do everything necessary to make things right.

1. How do you normally respond when God brings conviction in your life through the words of another person? Pause for a minute right now and ask God to help you put away any pride so that His conviction will lead you to growth and fruit!
2. Have you done everything necessary to make things right? Romans 12:18 instructs us to do all that we can to live in peace with everyone. Ask God if there’s a conversation you need to have, an apology you need to extend, or forgiveness you need to offer yourself or someone else and then make a plan to go do it.
