Read Philippians 2:12-13
“Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.”

Discover
1. What do you think Paul means when he tells the Philippian church to show the results of their salvation? How is this different than working for your salvation?
2. How are they to carry out this work? With what mindset?
3. What is the relationship between the work God does in us and the work we do as a result, according to these verses?

Respond
1. If you have accepted the free gift of God’s salvation, thank Him for that gift and for the work He did in bringing you to that point! Thank Him that He continues to work in you through the power of the Holy Spirit.
2. Spend some time with God now, asking Him what it looks like to ‘show the results of your salvation.’ Ask Him to, daily, increase your desire to please Him above everything and everyone else.

For Families with Kids at Home
Pray today for the salvation of your kids. If they have not yet accepted Jesus as their Savior, spend some time specifically praying for this in your kids.
