Psalm 62:1-2
I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.
Can you imagine a life in a fortress that can’t be shaken? That’s what Jesus offers. Not just salvation. Not just heaven one day. But He provides a way of life. We just have to decide to give up running, and say, "Jesus, you are my rock and my salvation."
The best the world can offer is an escape. It’s temporary. It can’t give you more. You can change how you feel for a moment, but nothing will ever really change.
If the storms of life are hitting you today, if life is crashing down, and you feel overwhelmed, don't run. Build a life on the unshakeable foundation of Jesus. Remember John 14:27 and accept this gift today: "I am leaving you with you with a gift – peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid."
