The love of money.

Series: modgniK | Week 4: Generosity Flows

Ecclesiastes 5:10-11
Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness! The more you have, the more people come to help you spend it. So what good is wealth—except perhaps to watch it slip through your fingers!

Another myth we easily buy into is “I’ll be happier when I have just a little more.” Chasing after more and more is tragic for our soul and for our relationships. It will never be enough and it will never make us happy because eventually, it will all ‘go back in the box.’ No matter if you have a lot or a little, loving money leads to all kinds of problems.

Money can add meaning to your life, but it can never be the meaning of your life. Are you relying on money or success for fulfillment? What are some practical steps you can take today to stop loving it, whether you have a little or a lot? In your group this week, discuss some ways that you can be a better steward of your finances.
