Regret.

Week 1: Course Correction

Day 2

Jeremiah 17:9
The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?

How long has it been since you asked yourself, “Am I paying attention to the rumble strips in my life?” Is there a warning from God that you are ignoring, overlooking, neglecting, or dismissing? As Aaron reminded us this week, some of our greatest regrets in life could be avoided if we’d pay attention to the rumble strips while we are still in the safety zone.

All of us have regrets and make mistakes, yet God pours out mercy & grace, and provides a way for us to avoid turning our mistakes into habits, patterns, and addictions. One of the key ways to overcome those disasters is to recognize that our hearts deceive us into believing we are okay despite God’s warnings!

Today, meditate on this scripture and know that God’s wisdom can be trusted much more than our deceptive hearts. If you’re living with regret, God can pour out His tremendous mercy and grace, and help you follow His path over your own.
