Prayer is worry redirected.

Series: The Way Back | Week 4: To Peace

Philippians 4:6-7

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Prayer is worry redirected. Are you a good worrier? Then you are better at prayer than you probably think. We are promised to experience peace, not understand it. If God fully explained Himself to us, we wouldn't have to trust Him. Our relationship with God isn't a leap of faith, it's a walk of faith.

Paul’s advice is to turn your worries into prayers. Do you want to worry less? Then pray more! Don’t overcomplicate it. Whenever you start to worry, start praying. Tell God what you need. Be specific. Then close out your prayer time thanking God for what He has done.
