It will come to pass, no matter what.
For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.
For the power of perspective to really take root in your life, you must understand just how powerful, in control and definitive our God is. His purposes are fixed, and there’s not a thing you can do to thwart them. His promises are set in stone, and they will come to pass.
So much of the turmoil we experience in our lives is because we think that our future is dependent on us. That’s a scary proposition! We are flawed, sinful, broken, needy, inconsistent, and often, unreliable.
God has already written your story. And everything you hope for has already been promised. And everything promised will come to pass. And it will come to pass, no matter what.
