Romans 8:38-39
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Three times in these two verses, the author of the book of Romans, Paul, mentions God’s love for us. He is absolutely convinced that nothing can separate us from that love. This truth should make us resilient.
Respond in Prayer
Spend some time now, thinking about your everyday life – are there any circumstances causing you to doubt God’s love for you? Look back over these verses and see which category they may fall into and then give them over to Him. Ask Him to move you to the place of convinced. Worship Him today for His unshakeable love.
