Mission Trips

When you go on a mission trip, you embark on an incredible journey to watch God do some amazing things in the lives of not just the people you’re serving—but in you as well. These experiences allow you to see just how big our God really is, learn how the part we play makes a difference around the world, build relationships that will carry the Gospel, and discover that God has individually gifted you to make a difference outside the walls of the church.

Part of the heartbeat of our church is to care for vulnerable children all around the world. We’re committed to preventing children from becoming vulnerable and intervening in situations where children are vulnerable.

One of the ways that you can be a part of this mission is through child sponsorship. Sponsorships help transform children, their families, and entire communities--now and for eternity.

How does Traders Point Christian Church decide where to take short-term mission trips?

All mission trips serve alongside our current partners and church plants.

If I want to serve on a short-term mission team, how do I decide on a trip?

You can find detailed information about each of our short-term mission trips by clicking here. You can also email outreach@tpcc.org to ask further questions.

How do I apply for a trip?

The current online trip applications can be found by clicking here. The first step is to create a profile with GoMethod, and then you will be able to apply for a specific trip. A follow-up meeting with an Outreach staff member may be required. You will be notified once your application has been approved.

What happens after I apply?

Once your application has been approved, you must pay the non-refundable trip deposit within 10 days. Once your deposit has been received, your spot is confirmed and you will receive an email with more information.

How do I pay for the trip?

Trip participants are encouraged to invite friends and family to participate by helping to support financially and by praying for the mission trip. Raising support is an integral part of your short-term mission experience. God could be waiting for an opportunity to show you how big He is!

Trip participants may begin support raising after you are notified of your acceptance to the team. GoMethod will have details regarding fundraising deadlines. You’ll also be able to track your fundraising progress on GoMethod.

What does the trip cost include?

The trip cost includes airfare to the destination; lodging; food and transportation while on site; emergency medical trip insurance and international visas. You also have the option of raising funds to cover required or recommended immunizations or medications for travel. Passport application or renewal fees, souvenirs, and airport food are not covered in the trip cost.

The cost of each trip listed in GoMethod are subject to change based on flight prices.

Are there pre-trip meetings? Pre-trip preparation?

It is important that team members attend all meetings to fully prepare for the trip individually and as a team. Dates for the trip meetings can be found in GoMethod. Please be sure to mark these dates on your calendar as soon as you are accepted!

What if I am unable to participate in the trip for any reason after being accepted?

You must submit in writing that you need to cancel as soon as possible. Trip members may be responsible for all trip costs. Monies paid towards mission trips are considered charitable contributions and are non-refundable.

By completing the online application, you acknowledge that the church will apply your contribution designated for this trip to a future trip or other purposes, in the event the trip is cancelled for any reason or you withdraw from the trip.
