In a big church, you don’t need to know everyone; you just need to know someone. Groups provide that opportunity.

Groups help facilitate spiritual growth. We’re not just getting together to have social hour, but groups are where we actually dig in.

Groups help give us protection. If you’re just listening to your own wisdom, it’s not wisdom. We need people we love and trust, through groups, who will help us stay on the right path.

Groups help encourage you to stay in the fight. We are all discouraged about something. Groups help us stay encouraged and keep going.

Small Groups

Traders Point groups typically consist of eight to 12 people meeting weekly in homes, at coffee shops, online, or at a Traders Point campus.

Groups get together to encourage each other, ask questions, seek wisdom from the Bible, and apply what we’ve learned. It’s also a time of fun, knowing that we’re all imperfect people following Jesus together and growing each day to be more like Him.

What can I expect when I attend a group?

Each group walks through a study of their choice.

Whether you get together in a coffee shop, at church, or someone’s home, every group is designed to disciple, care for, and encourage each and every member.

Do groups provide child care?

Some groups indicate that they provide child care, but this can look different depending on the group. For example, hiring a babysitter, group members taking turns, and older kids watching the younger ones are all possible options.

Please ask any questions you have about child care when the group leader reaches out to you.

What kind of commitment is expected?

Most groups follow a school calendar, operating on a semester basis with different rhythms over the summer. When first joining a group, we ask you to commit to at least a semester to get a good feel for the group.

What kind of groups do we have at Traders Point?

Traders Point offers groups for men, women, students, and married couples.

How do I start leading a group?

What if I feel like my group isn’t a good fit for me?

First, this can happen occasionally, so don’t be discouraged if it does! Remember, it’s important to give a new group some time before it starts to feel like “your” group. We encourage you to discuss any concerns with your group leader.

If there's a change in your preferences and you can no longer attend, please let your group leader know before submitting a new request to join a group.
