| Our Ministries / Worship – Technical Services |
Whenever you sit in a service at Traders Point Christian Church, there is a group of highly motivated individuals working just out of your sight to make sure that your experience is both engaging and memorable. They serve in five areas: sound, lighting, media, CD, and video. The Technical Team assists the other ministries of the church by facilitating high-quality audio, video, and lighting reinforcement and by providing knowledgeable technical assistance in these areas.
| • |
The Sound Team includes the engineers and stage technicians who make sure the music is heard the way it was meant to be heard. This group assists in church productions, facilitates rehearsals, and creates an “audio picture” in an attempt to make the music and message compelling. |
| • |
The Lighting Team provides the visual ambience and focus at TPCC events. Using a digital board and television studio-quality fixtures, they help to draw the attention of the worshipper to that of the service leaders who are pointing the way toward God. |
| • |
Using computer-generated text and imagery, the Media Team attempts to make a visual focal point for the worshipper. Using Mediashout, a program similar to Microsoft PowerPoint, the team displays video, text, and image slides during TPCC services. |
| • |
Just like a good book or movie, one often wants to come back to things that stir minds and hearts. The CD Ministry records all services at TPCC and makes them available on Sunday mornings at the CD Counter in the Ministry Resource Center and by order. |
| • |
A new Video Team has been formed to further advance the use of video cameras both in worship and in the creation of the content for worship services. Veterans of television production and computer-generated video are using their specialized skills to bring this new technology to TPCC.
