Caring for God's special children

TPCC's Wings to Fly Special Needs Ministry desires to reach families of special needs children with the compassion of Christian fellowship, to provide a loving support and safe environment, and to foster a growing knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Be a Buddy!

The Buddy System is a way of including special needs children in the life of our church. These children are paired up with a buddy who assists them during their Bible school class. This system not only benefits the special needs child, but it enables the parents and siblings of the special needs child to attend their own Bible school class or worship service.

Serve in the Sonshine Room

On Sunday mornings, the Sonshine room is a room for special needs children who are not able to participate in the regular Bible school program because of the severity of their special need or due ot heightened sensitivity to sounds, etc. Children in the Sonshine Room will enjoy one-on-one attention as they are being taught about the love of Christ and will be well cared for while the rest of the family attends Bible school or worship.
