The Prayer Ministry exists to honor and love God through encouraging, equipping, and inviting people to pray. We strive to love God and love people as we pray together. Our goal is to help Traders Point Christian Church become a “house of prayer.”
PIT Crews

We stand at a crossroads in the life of our church. Every day, important decisions are being made that will shape the future of our church. Every day, the elders and staff represent our church body. Every day brings an opportunity to honor Christ and to help others know and love Him. We can be curious bystanders or active participants.
The TPCC Prayer Ministry is introducing a new way to focus our prayers – PIT Crews. PIT Crews are Personal Intercessory Teams made up of individuals who agree to pray for a specific person. We are forming PIT Crews for each person who is on the front lines at TPCC, which includes everyone on our staff and each elder. By joining a PIT Crew, you become part of their prayer team. We welcome children, youth, and adults of all ages to join each team. As you pray for our staff and leaders, you connect them with God’s limitless resources – His power, His protection, His wisdom, and His love.
Each PIT Crew will have a Crew Chief. The crew chief will act as a liaison between the person who is being prayed for and his or her team. The Crew Chief will receive prayer requests, updates, and praises from the staff member or elder and will then pass these on to each PIT Crew member. As PIT Crew members, you will pray on your own – at home, at work, in the car – whenever and wherever you talk with the Lord. However, if you and others on your PIT crew want to pray together, you can.
The Prayer Ministry would like to ask for an initial commitment of six months for all PIT Crew members. At the end of that time, you can sign up again or take a break. Don’t stay on the side lines! A 24-hour emergency prayer line. If you have an urgent need, call 317.769.5557 and your request will be passed on to prayer warriors who will intercede immediately on your behalf.

Prayer cards
Prayer cards are available in the Sunday bulletin. Share your praises and prayer requests. Prayer Ministry members pray for the concerns listed on the cards for one month.

Do you enjoy leading worship through song? We need YOU to join us for the Wednesday evening TouchPoint prayer service. |

Do you enjoy encouraging others? We need people to call, email, or write notes to encourage the people for whom we are praying. |

Do you have a passion for people who don't know Jesus? Partner with the prayer and missions ministries as we develop prayer groups to "adopt" unreached people groups and our missionaries. |

Has God given you a great love and concern for our country? Join us as we prepare for the National Day of Prayer in May. |

Do you have the gift of hospitality? We need you as we reach out to others through the TouchPoint prayer services, the Sunday morning Bible school class, and the Prayer Conference in February. |
