Short-Term Mission Trips
Short-term mission trips have been known to impact the trip-goers more so than the beneficiaries. Find out for yourself how God can open your eyes by taking advantage of one of these exciting missions opportunities.


2010 Opportunities
 

TPCC is offering life-changing short-term mission trips in 2010. From Central America to Austria, God has something you can do for His Kingdom. After reading the descriptions below, pray about where God would like to send you!

General information that applies to all trips: $100 deposit is due 90 days prior to departure. Balance in full is due 30 days prior to departure. Cost of passport is not included in trip price. Final prices will be announced once the group is ticketed.

Nicaragua
January 16-23
Approximate Cost: $1,350

•This trip is for the construction of dorm rooms for college students.  The students are from the Rey Solomon Christian School in Managua.  Construction will consist of building walls (concrete blocks), wiring, plumbing, etc.  If you are looking to help students continue their education in order to impact the world for Christ, this trip is for yu! No construction experience necessary.

Haiti

Approximate Cost: $1,350

•Community Health Evanglism (CHE) training; facilitators, hosts, and hostesses are needed for leadership training of local Haitian leaders.

Nicaragua
February 20-28
Approximate Cost: $1,350

•If you have a heart for those with special needs, come support special education teachers and classrooms in the Rey Solomon and Joshua 1:8 Christian Schools in the Managua area.  Help with student evaluations, teacher training, parent meetings, family visits, other interaction with special needs children, special church services, and more.  There will also be a light construction component to this trip. (No construction experience necessary.)

Austria
May 12-21
Approximate Cost: $1,000

•Aaron Brockett will be giving a speech during the Graduation Ceremony, held on Sunday, May 16.  On the evenings of Monday, May 17, and Tuesday, May 18, the National Directors from ten eastern European countries will be giving their reports on how TCM students/graduates are ministering in their countries and/or across borders and cultures, any political or religious persecution that is being experienced, etc.
•Short-term workers from TPCC will have the opportunity to sign up for one of the following areas to serve while at Haus Edelweiss: kitchen, guest services (housekeeping), grounds and garden, and maintenance.

Hungary
May 19-29
Approximate Cost: $2,500

•A rewarding and exciting opportunity to love and serve over 400 Christian leaders from over 35 nations at the European Leadership Forum.  The Forum is hugely impacting Christianity in Europe, and volunteers have an opportunity to be a part of God's global Kingdom work.
•Opportunities to serve include: greeting, room monitoring, driving, interviewing leaders, typing and data entry, working in the bookstore, serving meals, registering leaders, photography, and more.

Panama
Summer, Dates TBD
Approximate Cost: $1,350

•Work with Alan Handt completing a variety of tasks including medical work and construction.  Alan is excellent at matching your gifts with the work that needs completed.  Alan's primary focus is among the indigenous Guaymi Indians near Boquete.

•Activities may include VBS teams, home visits, and working with communities of people living with HIV/AIDS, discipleship and leadership training, prayer walks, and prayer teams.
•This work involves coming alongside communities trained in Community Health Evangelism (CHE).  People are beginning to know who they are in Christ and are identifying resources and problems to be solved.  This is a very dynamic ministry among 800,000 of the poorest of the poor in the Mathare Valley.  Individuals and communities are being transformed by the power of Christ.

•Build homes for the homeless.  Build relationships.  On average our team is able to construct three homes during the trip.  You often work side-by-side with the family who will move in when it is completed.
