TPCC
is offering life-changing short-term mission trips in
2009. From Central America to Austria, God has something
you can do for His Kingdom. After reading the
descriptions below, pray about where God would like to
send you!
General
information that applies to all trips: $100 deposit is
due 90 days prior to departure. Balance in full is due
30 days prior to departure. Cost of passport is not
included in trip price. Final prices will be announced
once the group is ticketed.
CHE Overview

Community Health Evangelism (CHE) may be a new concept
to you. On Tuesday, June 16, and Friday, June 19,
from 6 to 9 p.m., TPCC will offer a CHE overview.

• Work with special education teachers in the Rey Solomon and Joshua 1:8 special education classrooms doing teacher training, program development, student evaluations, interacting with special needs children, conducting special church services, and more.

• Teach English in a school for children of migrant workers. Activities include helping the children learn to understand and speak English. This supplements their formal English classes in school. This is part of a larger program to reach out to the communities of migrant workers in large cities. • Opportunities also exist to conduct business seminars for the Chinese management team of a large manufacturing facility.

• Build homes for the homeless. Build relationships. On average our team is able to construct threes homes during the trip.

Nairobi, Kenya
September 22-October 2
Approximate Cost: $2,200 for basic trip; $2,700 for
safari extended trip
• Urban poor outreach in the slums of Mathare Valley. • Activities may include medical teams, drama teams, VBS teams, home visits and working with communities of people living with HIV/AIDS, discipleship and leadership training, construction teams, prayer walks, prayer teams, sports teams, and IT work.
• This work involves coming alongside communities trained in Community Health Evangelism (CHE). People are beginning to know who they are in Christ and are identifying resources and problems to be solved. This is a very dynamic ministry among 800,000 of the poorest of the poor in the Mathare Valley. Individuals and communities are being transformed by the power of Christ.
