Best part about his job: Being given a sense of helping improve life situations as a veterinarian by enhancing the lives of companion animals. Seeing the marvel of life and how God is so intrinsically involved in it all leaves me with tremendous sense of wonder.
Interesting things to know about Rod: I continue to strive to be a “hopeless romantic.” Barb is still waiting! While in my foolish teen years, I bleached my hair. Some feel it may have seeped through to my brain, which could explain some things… such as riding down some abandoned railroad tracks in rural Indiana while in an old Pontiac; and finally, while in the USAF as a veterinarian, a good friend of mine and I left the base one weekend to fish but failed to “sign-out,” and during a subsequent emergency recall, we nearly were written-up as AWOL (absent without leave) which could affect one's “honorable discharge” status.
