Middle School header: Hey Parents

Here in the Middle School Ministry, we believe that there are two main values that our students need to strengthen their faith in God:

The first is growth …

To facilitate growth, we offer a service geared just for them on Sunday mornings called Pulse. We want the students to know that God is alive, beating, and moving in our world today, just like the pulse in our bodies. Here we get a chance to worship God, listen to some great teaching, interact in our life groups, dig into God’s Word, and most importantly we grow together. Growth is an essential tool in faith building and as they are already growing physically, mentally and emotionally, they need to be growing spiritually as well.

The second is service …

By this time in their lives, students need to start taking what God is teaching them and use it through service. Service happens in multiple ways here at Traders Point; you might see a student working in one of our preschool classes or a group of students serving in our community. Serving takes what they are learning and putting it into action. It helps them bring God’s Word’s to life.

TPCC has worked hard for many years to develop a Middle School Ministry that is not only fun to be a part of, but allows students to be engaged in what God planned for their lives. We know that these students are the future leaders of all walks of life. We want to challenge them to live a life sold out for God now, so that hopefully as they grow up, they take God with them wherever they go.

This being said, we need your help. Not only do you spend more time with them each week, but God has called you to be the spiritual leaders of the family. You are a vital resource to them because of the amount of time you spend with them. We want to make sure that we do everything we can to come along side you and give you the resources you need. We are here not only to help students grow, but to see families grow as well. One resource that might help you along the way is our blog. We have a blog that we keep up-to-date that allows you as the parent to see what the students are talking about in their life groups. Feel free to check it out by clicking the icon to the left and talk with your students about what they are learning and experiencing.
