Traders Point Christian Dance Center

Thank you for your interest in Traders Point Dance Center. We serve students of all ages who desire to study dance, each with varying goals and aspirations. Our commitment is to offer top-quality instruction at affordable prices within a Christ-centered, nurturing environment. We aim to develop excellent people, not just excellent dancers, and to foster an environment of respect between dancers, teachers, faculty, and parents alike. We also believe it's important to promote an atmosphere of camaraderie, not competition. Students achieve their maximum potential when they know they are in a safe, loving community.

Classes offered at Traders Point Christian Dance Center include Ballet, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Creative Movement, and more! New sessions are offered quarterly!

Meet the Dance Center Instructors

Laura Bukowski

Laura began her dance training while living in St. Louis, Missouri. Upon moving to Indianapolis she began studying and performing with April Jamerson and Breakdown Indianapolis. Laura has had the opportunity to minister throughout the local high schools with the abstinence education program from the Crisis Pregnancy Center and Eastgate Studios Inc. Laura has been assisting April in dance classes for four years and lead teaching for two. She currently resides in Noblesville, Indiana working as a nanny and furthering her education towards a BA in Creative Writing.

April Jamerson

April received her BFA from Ohio University in 1989 and soon after moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a professional dance career. While in L.A., April performed with the Long Beach City Dance Theater and several independent artists before committing her life to Jesus Christ. This changed the passions and direction of her life. In 1992, she moved to Houston, Texas where God placed her with a professional Christian dance company and where she received training in how to use her gifts for the Kingdom of God. Today, April resides in Zionsville, Indiana with her husband of 17 years, Dave, and their four children, and ministers regularly throughout the United States and overseas. She is currently the Director of the Traders Point Christian Dance Center and carries a passion to not only see the creative arts restored and cultivated in the church, but to see people drawn and developed for God’s purposes.
