Diana Weir, Pathway Groups Director

As Pathway Groups Director, Diana is responsible for transitioning new members who have completed Discovery Class into life groups where they can experience Christian community, spiritual growth, pastoral care, and discipleship. For a new member, TPCC then becomes a smaller community where they can be known.

Family: I am divorced, but one of my favorite things in life is to hang out with family. All of my family lives here in Indy, which is why I returned to my hometown after living in the Chicago area
for 30 years. I get together with my sisters to work out at least three times per week and have lunch to figure out how to parent adult children without meddling. With the exception of one niece who lives in Chicago, all of our immediate family lives in the Indianapolis area. The whole family celebrates all holidays as a family. My favorite title is “Auntie.”

Hometown: Indianapolis, Indiana

Educational Background: I am a product of Indianapolis Public Schools and a proud Indiana University alumni. Having “come of age” in the sixties, I majored in Sociology and minored in Psychology and English Literature with the intent of changing the world – or at least my portion of
it.

Career Background: Though I started out in social work after graduating from I.U., I spent most of my career in the financial services industry at JPMorgan Chase in the Chicago area. I retired from Chase in July 2008 where as a Senior Vice President in Retail Branches, I managed growing profits, customer service, branch operations, and developing and coaching management teams of 100 branches in the suburban Chicago and Illinois markets. I guess everything fell apart after I left
(smile), judging from the current state of the housing market and mortgage industry.

Hobbies: Most of my spare time is spent participating in pilates classes and strength and cardio training; I don’t consider this a hobby, but a necessity for good health as I settle into my sixties. My main hobby is music – vocal and dance - where I can experience God’s presence through creative expression and worship. I’ve also been known to frequent a mall or two.

Best part about her job: The best part of my job is being part of God’s Plan A in helping people live out the Great Commission to "go and make disciples" and teach others how to make disciples. The ministry of reproducing disciples greatly excites and challenges me so that Jesus’ work here on earth continues; this is a calling for all believers.
