Through this ministry, you have the opportunity to provide one-on-one service to individuals in need. The Benevolence Ministry strives to establish and maintain a caring, confidential program of providing emotional, spiritual, material, and physical aid to those in the congregation and community who can’t provide for their own needs during times of distress and bereavement.
Traders Point Christian Church strives to serve Jesus through our service to others. TPCC provides assistance in numerous areas including:

Member/Attendee assistance request process:
| 1. |
Contact the church office at 769.5557 to complete an “Assistance Request” form and meet with the Director of Benevolence to discuss the need |
| 2. |
The Director of Benevolence and/or the Benevolence Ministry Executive Team will make a decision on the request and contact the applicant within 2-3 days |
Non-attendee assistance request process:
| 1. |
Contact the church office at 769.5557 to be referred to the Church Care Clearinghouse for screening |
| 2. |
Allow 7-10 days for the screening process |
| 3. |
Church Care Clearinghouse will contact the church regarding the results of the screening |
| 4. |
The church will contact the applicant of their decision |
| • |
Prepare and coordinate the Giving Tree and other gifts at Christmas |
| • |
Organize the collection, handling, transportation, and distribution of clothing and food items to those in need |
| • |
Transport persons in need to medical or dental appointments |
| • |
Visit the elderly or send greeting cards or small gifts to members in hospitals, nursing homes or in their home, especially those at Zionsville Meadows |
| • |
Assist people in the areas of financial responsibility |
| • |
Arrange for assistance with meals during the illness or death of a member of the church family if the member is not in a small group |
| • |
Provide emergency assistance to stranded travelers in our community and passing through via the nearby highways by locating motels, food sources, service stations, and other needs |

Get Involved
There is an ongoing need for people who are willing to provide child care, meals and transportation or offer professional services. If you are interested in making yourself available for needs as they arise, please visit our Community Bulletin Board posted on this site.
Do you have a few hours a week or month to share your time with people whose physical ailments prevent them from leaving home? If so, the Benevolence Ministry could use your help. Volunteer to make visits according to your schedule – day or night, regular visits, or just on occasion. To get involved, call Irene Furman at 873.6252.
