What role do you play in the Young Adults Ministry?

I am the new staff liaison for the Young Adults Ministry. I am excited about the great people and possibilities with this ministry and am honored to serve in any way possible.


What is your favorite thing about yourself?

I like being tall, although it has been really hard to find pants that fit my length lately.

Loyal, hardworking, athletic


If you chose a new name for yourself, what would it be and why?

Vanilla Ice. Not in honor of the rapper, but for my cool shooting skills in our staff “horse” competitions. [Dave won't mention it, but he used to play in the NBA for the Houston Rockets back in the day. DO NOT attempt to take him on in a shooting competition!]


What would you do with $1 million if you had 24 hours to spend it. No saving or investing allowed.

I would rent out a huge yacht someplace beautiful like the Mediterranean and go sailing with my family or buy a beach house.

I just borrowed a 1982 quarter from Karlene, one of our administrators, since everyone who knows me KNOWS that I never carry money. Let’s see, in 1982, I was a sophomore in high school and got one of my worst haircuts ever. Thank goodness those things only last a few weeks!


What is your favorite Popsicle flavor?

My favorite Popsicle flavor is orange cream by far


Who or what influences you?

Passionate people inspire me regardless of what they do or what field they are in


If you could get any actor or actress to play you in a film about your life, who would you pick and why?

Hey, why not a young Robert Redford.


How did you end up at Traders Point?

I ended up at Traders Point after enrolling our four children at Traders Point Christian Academy and then visiting the church. Each week we enjoyed the church, the people, and the ministry more and more. In February, I was hired to be the Minister of Outreach. It has been a great experience being here!
