What role do you play in the Young Adults Ministry?

I’ve coordinated events, written for the website, and helped with various other projects. At work we call that “other duties as assigned.” I’ve pretty much been around since the beginning of the YA ministry, so I guess I could also serve as “historian.” But that doesn’t mean I’m old!

What is your favorite thing about yourself?

Dependable, Fun, Hospitable

Choose a unique item from your wallet/purse and explain why you carry it around

I carry a tape measure in my purse. It’s an orange leather one, embossed with “The devil is in the details.” It has come in handy many a time! You just never know when you’ll need to measure something. Seriously.

Croutons or bacon bits?

Hands down, croutons. I am a bread girl!

What song best describes you when you wake up in the morning?

World Spins Madly On by The Weepies (download it – it’s a good one!)

What do you usually do on Monday at 10 a.m.?

I’m at work then, so it could be answering questions from people who don’t read, working on specs for the next big meeting, reviewing hotel contracts… or a number of other things.

What do you usually do on Friday at 10 p.m.?

Goodness, I’d say this varies greatly… anything from playing a favorite pop-culture game with friends to laundry to traveling halfway across the country to see Bon Jovi!

Name the best thing, in your opinion, that came out of the eighties

I am definitely a child of the 80s! If I have to choose one, I think it will have to be the Cabbage Patch Kid. We actually took ours to court and “officially” adopted them in front of a real judge.
